The colors of our sunglasses
When we talk about lenses we mainly think about two things: aesthetics and protection.
Once we have finished designing our glasses, another very important task awaits us: matching each frame shade with its lens shade to give an even more marked imprint to the look but above all to better protect the eyes and gaze from UV radiation.
The latter, known as ultraviolet radiation, is a type of electromagnetic radiation mainly responsible for the much-loved tan but also for ugly summer sunburns.
Excessive exposure to solar rays can therefore cause various problems to our eyes such as burns and cataracts.
But be careful, even in winter never let your guard down because the sun's rays reflected by the snow have an even greater impact than those we expose ourselves to on the beach during the summer.
But let's go back with our feet in the sand and our gaze fixed on the horizon, the blue of the sea kisses the blue of the sky and the Giglio Island and Giannutri act as a backdrop. In this scenario the intense light must be contrasted with an excellent pair of sunglasses that must be able to block at least 99% of UVB rays and 95% of UVA rays and have scratch-resistant lenses capable of resisting impacts and any carelessness to accompany us throughout the season.
Temperatures have already risen and the first swim in the sea has probably already been done, the desire for sun and fun is so great. Let's see how to respect our eyes from the boat trip in the morning until aperitif time..
Dark lenses
Dark grey and bottle green lenses are a real daily passe-partout, you can escape the city and run to Maremma, to the sea, without worrying about your glasses. These are lenses that do not alter colours, guarantee protection by cancelling solar glare and allow relaxation of the eyesight. Particularly suitable for lighter eyes and those craving attention. Set off on a journey with Maremma Amara and Brigantello Nero .
Blue lenses
Blue lenses have the particularity of effectively reducing the glare caused by white light. Both at the sea and in the mountains they behave very well by limiting reflections intensified by snow, fog and water.
Whether you prefer relaxing on a nice dinghy in a cove in Argentario or you are more inclined to sporting activities such as surfing or cycling, these lenses represent an excellent choice, in our opinion also in terms of style.
You can appreciate them on Maremma Nera , Maremma Dolce and Brigantello Maculato with a very captivating nuance.
Light brown lenses – pink
We chose this particular and eclectic shade for the Maremma Striata and Brigantello Audace , two glasses with very different shapes but the same angularity. The lens has the advantage of being suitable for sunny and cloudy days, makes the colors warmer and intensifies the depth.
